Jamestown First Landing Memorial, Cape Henry, Virginia

White stone cross backed by a gorgeous blue, cloud-spangled sky, is located on the beach at Cape Henry, Virgina where the James River enters the Atlantic Ocean. This impressive and beautiful memorial, The First Landing Cross, marks the spot where, in 1607, the Jamestown Colonists first came ashore after their ocean crossing. They prayed and erected a wooden cross nearby before proceeding up the James River and founding the first permanent English settlement in North America. Along with the nearby Cape Henry Lighthouses, the memorial is on the grounds of Fort Story, north of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

NOTE: As well as making a beautiful print, this image can serve as an exceptional projected background for worship songs and Scripture and can be purchased, as most images here can, as a digital download (SD or HD widescreen dimensions), for only $2.00. (This value price covers projection usage only). Please ask Ken if you have any questions whatsoever.
